This resource discusses the MFierce project, describes the experiences of young gay and bi men, and trans women in relation to medical care, and the burden of STIs in Southeast Michigan. It also defines the terms: the social determinants of health and structural change.

Michigan Forward in Enhancing Research and Community Equity (MFierce) is launching the Health Access Initiative (HAI), a free quality-improvement program for local primary care clinics, health centers, and STI testing and treatment sites to better serve lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) youth.
